SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine M. Fengel of Canton, who passed away on July 15, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel was born in Estherville, Iowa to Jimmy and Vivian (Kathman) Walsh on April 26, 1932; she married Blake Fengel in Canton on June 12, 1954; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel worked for AT&T as an operator and service representative; she was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton, Sigma Phi Gamma, and the Communication Workers Association; she loved china painting and bowling; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Carol Peacock and Marilyn Laird; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel is survived by her husband, Blake; her son, Brian (Tanya) Fengel; her sisters, Dixie Guss and Judy Jenkins; and her grandchildren, Emily and Blake Fengel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lorraine M. Fengel and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lorraine Fengel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
