SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harold F. Korte Sr. of Godfrey, who
4passed away on October 25, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Korte was born in Alton to Dwight and Adele
6(Pieper) Korte on November 21, 1934; he graduated from
7Marquette Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army; he
8married Margaret (Rolla) Dixon in Godfrey on July 29, 1980; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Harold Korte retired from ECC Supply in Brentwood,
10Missouri; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Harold Korte was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic
12Church in Godfrey; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Harold Korte was preceded in death by his parents;
14his first wife, Delores Korte; his sons, Brad and Edward Korte;
15and his brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Irene Korte; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Harold Korte is survived by his wife, Margaret;
17his children, Missy (Rick) Gibson, David (Laura) Dixon, Suzanne
18(Rob) Schwartz, Jim Korte, Carol Korte, Paul Korte, Harold
19Korte Jr., and Nancy (Chris) Bruce; his daughters-in-law,
20Elizabeth and Kathy Korte; 18 grandchildren; seven

1great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Tom (Mary) and Larry
2(Carolyn) Korte; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Harold F. Korte Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Harold Korte as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
