SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harold F. Korte Sr. of Godfrey, who passed away on October 25, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Harold Korte was born in Alton to Dwight and Adele (Pieper) Korte on November 21, 1934; he graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army; he married Margaret (Rolla) Dixon in Godfrey on July 29, 1980; and

WHEREAS, Harold Korte retired from ECC Supply in Brentwood, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Harold Korte was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, Harold Korte was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Delores Korte; his sons, Brad and Edward Korte; and his brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Irene Korte; and

WHEREAS, Harold Korte is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Missy (Rick) Gibson, David (Laura) Dixon, Suzanne (Rob) Schwartz, Jim Korte, Carol Korte, Paul Korte, Harold Korte Jr., and Nancy (Chris) Bruce; his daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and Kathy Korte; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Tom (Mary) and Larry (Carolyn) Korte; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Harold F. Korte Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Korte as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
