SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas C. Russell of Elmhurst, formerly of Joliet, who passed away at the age of 84; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Russell graduated from Joliet Catholic High School in 1952; he graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1956; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Russell was a veteran of the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Russell was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. McDonald Council; he was a lifelong fan of the Chicago White Sox; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Russell was the beloved husband of Grace R. (McGowan) Russell, the loving father of Margaret L. Odell, Thomas M. (Deborah) Russell, Katherine T. (Mark) Chapman, and Matthew J. Russell, the proud grandfather of Riley and Mitchell Russell and Allison Odell, and the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas C. Russell and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Russell as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
