SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosemary A. (Taul) Matifes of Godfrey,
4who passed away on August 10, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Matifes was born to Theodore Francis and
6Gertrude (Baker) Taul on October 31, 1932; she attended Sts.
7Peter and Paul grade school and graduated from Alton High in
81950; she married Gilbert Matifes on August 8, 1953; he
9preceded her in death in 1996; she married William Robert
10Arterberry in November 2001, and he preceded her in death in
11October 2002; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rosemary Matifes was preceded in death by her
13parents; her sons, Stephen and Keith (in infancy); and her
14siblings, Francis Taul, Donald Taul, Martha Davey, Bill Taul,
15and Marlene Mattingly; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Rosemary Matifes is survived by her children,
17Connie (Ron) Abraham, Tim (Annette Hatten) Matifes, and Kenny
18Matifes; her grandchildren, Theresa (Darrell) Forsythe, Lisa
19Morgan, Trevor Matifes, Abigail (Ian) Stephenson, Mikaela
20Matifes, and Katie Abraham; her great-grandchildren, Dade,
21Jarret, and Chase Morgan, Taylor Forsythe and Dylan Forsythe,
22Autumn Hinthorne, and Owen Stephenson; her siblings, Harold

2Keasler and Jodi Stillwell; and her many cousins, nieces,
3nephews, and other extended family and friends; therefore, be
4it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Rosemary A. (Taul) Matifes and extend our sincere condolences
8to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Rosemary Matifes as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
