SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jens A. "Jay" Yambert M.D. of Urbana, who
4passed away on August 31, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dr. Yambert was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin
6to Paul and Carla Yambert on May 9, 1958; he graduated from
7Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1981 and
8finished his residency in internal medicine at Marshfield
9Clinic in 1984; he married Rochelle Renee Kallenbach on January
1020, 1984; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dr. Yambert worked as an Emergency Room physician
12in Champaign-Urbana for over 25 years; he then worked at
13convenient care in Danville; he was known for his ability to
14treat patients well and professionally and was usually able to
15identify rare diseases or ailments; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dr. Yambert lived life to the fullest and made the
17most of each day; he had a contagious smile and infectious
18laugh; he enjoyed traveling, hiking, running, playing cards,
19enjoying meals with friends, and spending time with his
20children and grandchildren; he was always willing to extend a
21hand to those in need; and

1    WHEREAS, Dr. Yambert was preceded in death by his brother,
2Nels Yambert; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Dr. Yambert is survived by his parents; his wife,
4Shelly; his brothers, Jon and Karl Yambert, and their wives;
5his sister, Laura Reeder, and her husband; his daughters,
6Janelle Yambert and Jenna Galli, and their husbands; his sons,
7Joel, Jason, and Jeff Yambert, and their wives; his three
8grandsons; his granddaughter; and his many nieces, nephews, and
9friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Jens A. "Jay" Yambert M.D. and extend our sincere condolences
13to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
14it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Dr. Yambert as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
