SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dorothy E. Layson of Waukegan, who passed
4away on August 28, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Layson was born in Waukegan to Frances and
6Jerome Tasker on August 6, 1926; she graduated from Waukegan
7High School in 1944 and married George W. Miltimore Jr. in
81945; after being widowed, she married Malcolm Layson in 1971;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dorothy Layson worked for North Shore Gas for many
11years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dorothy Layson was active in the Altar Guild and
13other groups at Christ Episcopal Church in Waukegan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dorothy Layson was preceded in death by her first
15husband, George Miltimore Jr.; her husband, Malcolm Layson; her
16brother, Jerome Tasker; her sister, Barbara Landree; her
17parents, Jerome and Frances Tasker; and her stepfather, George
18Thompson; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dorothy Layson is survived by her children, Leslie
20Hartman, Susan (James) Berdahl, and Jeffery Miltimore; her

1stepdaughters, Jill Morris and Robin Corbin; three
2grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces,
3nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Dorothy E. Layson, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Dorothy Layson as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
