SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert S. Geer of Waukegan, who passed away on August 2, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Robert Geer was born to Goldie Jean and Lester Geer Sr. on March 21, 1949; and

WHEREAS, Robert Geer was an avid fan of Chicago Sports and a lover of all things Nascar; he enjoyed playing the lottery with his good friend Harold Richmond; and

WHEREAS, Robert Geer was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and William Stripe; his sister-in-law, Mary Geer; his great-nephew, Cameron Stynes; and his brother-in-law, Robert Kantola; and

WHEREAS, Robert Geer is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wendy (Holverson) Geer; his sons, Nicholas and Scott Geer; his grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Cassandra, Alexis, Jayden, and Madeleine; his siblings, Carol (Ray) Hebior, Lester Geer Jr., Tom (Colleen) Geer, Patricia (Pidgy) Kantola, and Dave (Sue) Geer; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert S. Geer and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Geer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
