SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Juan J. Bucio, who passed away on May 28, 2018 in the line of duty; and

WHEREAS, Juan Bucio was born on January 25, 1972; and

WHEREAS, Juan Bucio joined the Chicago Fire Department on October 1, 2003 and became a member of the dive team in 2007; he has been a member of Chicago Fire Fighters Union, Local 2 since March 12, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Juan Bucio was serving with Air Sea Rescue when he was fatally injured during a water rescue; and

WHEREAS, Juan Bucio is survived by his children, Joshua, age 10 and Jacob, age 9; and his nine siblings; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Juan J. Bucio, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Juan Bucio as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
