| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas A. "Tom" Briscoe of Waukegan, who | 4 | | passed away on May 12, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tom Briscoe was born in Chicago to Charles and | 6 | | Lucille (Benarczyk) Briscoe on October 3, 1953; he was a | 7 | | longtime resident of Waukegan; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Tom Briscoe practiced law in Lake County for 40 | 9 | | years; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Tom Briscoe was a member of St. Anastasia Parish, | 11 | | the Lake County Bar Association, the Lake County Republication | 12 | | Federation, the Waukegan City Club, the Knights of Columbus, | 13 | | and the Moose Club; he enjoyed volunteering at the First United | 14 | | Methodist Church's soup kitchen; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Tom Briscoe was preceded in death by his parents; | 16 | | his brothers, Charles and Peter Briscoe; and his sister, Janet | 17 | | Staib; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Tom Briscoe is survived by his children, Kelly | 19 | | (Dan) Kenny and Patrick (Stephanie Whelen) Briscoe; his | 20 | | granddaughter, Erin Kenny; his dear friend and former wife, |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Thomas A. "Tom" Briscoe and extend our sincere condolences to | 7 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 8 | | further
