SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kennedie LyAnn Vote of Germantown Hills,
4who passed away on May 12,2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote was born in Wichita, Kansas to Rex
6and Jeannine (Caswell) Vote on August 28, 1998; she graduated
7from Metamora Township High School in 2017; she attended
8Illinois Central College for one year, with the hopes of
9transferring to Hillsong College for Ministry; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote was an active member of Northwoods
11Community Church, where she was an intern in Student
12Ministries; she was a member of the church's Worship Team; she
13also helped with the children's ministry, where she showed a
14passion and a love for kids; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote dedicated a great deal of her time
16to helping others with projects like rehabbing homes through
17the Mission Peoria program by the Dream Center in Peoria, to
18traveling with her church on mission trips and retreats to
19places like the Dominican Republic and Brazil; and
 
20    WHEREAS, In her short time, Kennedie Vote touched the lives
21of many people in her community and across the world with her

1love and compassion; she will remain a bright spot in the lives
2of her family, friends, and those she met; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Kennedie Vote is survived by her parents; her
4brothers, Tanner and Courtland (Bethany) Vote; her sister,
5Markie Vote; her grandparents, Roger and Sharon Vote, Caroline
6Courtland, and Frankie and Lisa Caswell; and her many aunts,
7uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Kennedie LyAnn Vote and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Kennedie Vote as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
