SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Virgene Zarnstorff of Richmond, who
4passed away on Mary 9, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff was born in Richmond to Otto
6and Mae (Pederson) Buchert on July 13, 1924; she graduated from
7Richmond High School in 1942; she married Frank Zarnstorff in
8Wilmot, Wisconsin on August 1, 1942; and
 
9    WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Richmond, Virgene
10Zarnstorff and her husband operated the family farm for over 50
11years; she also enjoyed her businesses, selling eggs at the
12farm and, in her early years, Hunter's Boutique, located at
13Hunter Country Club in Richmond; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff was a member of Peace
15Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmot, Wisconsin and was
16involved with the Ladies Aid for many years; she was a member
17and past president of the Richmond Garden Club for many years
18and a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau and Pure Milk
19Association; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff was preceded in death by her
21parents; her husband, Frank; her sisters, Beulah and Helen

1Buchert; and her brothers, Harry and Robert Buchert; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff is survived by her daughter,
3Marjorie (Doug) Stermer; her son, Dennis (Lorraine)
4Zarnstorff; her grandchildren, David (Stephanie) Otto, Tom
5(Jennifer) Otto, Timothy Zarnstorff (Peggy), Stacey (Jon)
6Green, and Matthew (Jamie) Zarnstorff; her
7great-grandchildren, Taylor, Payton, Jayden, Jackson, Lauren,
8Macey, Katlyn, and Jordan Otto, and Ryan, Zachery, and Jamison
9Zarnstorff; her nephews, DeWayne and Harry Buchert Jr., Gordon
10Pacey, Doug Schaal, and Ken, Jack, and Jeff Zarnstorff; and her
11nieces, Rose Pacey Kuhlmeier, Pam Pacey Conkey, and Kathy
12Zarnstorff Miller; and her sister, Mary Lou Pacey; therefore,
13be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Virgene Zarnstorff and extend our sincere condolences to her
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Virgene Zarnstorff as an expression
21of our deepest sympathy.
