SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marcella "Marcy" Kranz of Crystal Lake, who passed away on April 29, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Marcy Kranz was born in Chicago to Stanley and Charlotte (Zdydrowski) Pachucki on July 4, 1923; she married Harry Kranz in June of 1947, and they moved to Park Ridge from 1955 until they retired to Crystal Lake in 1990; and

WHEREAS, Marcy Kranz was a secretary to a dean at Oakton Community College until 1987; and

WHEREAS, Marcy Kranz and Harry were active in their Catholic parishes and their communities throughout their lives; and

WHEREAS, Marcy Kranz was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Harry; and

WHEREAS, Marcy Kranz is survived by her children, Richard (Carol) Kranz, Judy (John) Mehan, and Cynthia (Justin) Barr; her grandchildren, Jessica and Jeffrey Mehan, Allison (Abadir Ibrahim) Kranz, Ashley and Elise Kranz, and Christopher, Andrea, and Kimberly Barr; her great-grandchildren, Samantha (Kyle) Davis, James, and Chandler; and her great-great-grandchild, Kaden; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marcella Kranz, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marcy Kranz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
