SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Neil L. Wise of Manlius, who passed away on April 23, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Neil Wise was born in Greenville Township to Andrew C. and Dorothy (Kruse) Wise on August 16, 1931; he graduated from Manlius High School in 1949; he served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict; he married Virginia Devenney in Princeton on October 5, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Neil Wise worked at Kraft Foods and Korhumel Industries in Manlius; and

WHEREAS, Neil Wise was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Margaret Chapple and Celestia "Sadie" VanOrmer; and

WHEREAS, Neil Wise is survived by his wife, Virginia; his children, Laura Wise, Christopher (Stephanie) Wise, Andrea Wise, Michael (Heidi) Wise, and Jolyn (Tom Jackson) Wise; his granddaughter, Tori Crosby; his sister, Vivian (Mervyn) Wilson; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Neil L. Wise and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Neil Wise as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
