SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frank Joseph Kaucic, who passed away on
4March 18, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Kaucic was born to Joseph and Rose (Brescak)
6Kaucic on August 17, 1926; he graduated from Mother of God
7Grade School in 1940 and Waukegan Township High School in 1944;
8he served in the Army Air Corp from February 1944 through
9November 1945; he married MaryAnn Rygiel on May 10, 1958; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frank Kaucic retired from the United States Steel
11Corporation and The City of North Chicago Water Plant; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Frank Kaucic was President of the Local 2353
13United Steelworkers Union; he was a member of the Holy Name
14Society, the Retired Steelworkers, and St. Joseph's #53
15K.S.K.J.; he was a lector and commentator at Most Blessed
16Trinity-Queen of Peace Church for 50 years; he enjoyed bowling,
17golfing, and his nightly coffee; he will be remembered as an
18avid fan of the Chicago Cubs; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Frank Kaucic was preceded in death by his parents;
20his wife, MaryAnn; his grandson, David; and his sisters, Sylvia
21Kaucic and Rosemary Waful; and

1    WHEREAS, Frank Kaucic is survived by his children, Barbara
2(Matt) Brown and Cheryl (Tom) Norstrem; his grandchildren,
3David and Ben Brown, Cassie (Ella) Habryn-Norstrem, Melissa
4(Kevin) McMahon, and Christopher (Alexandria) Norstrem; his
5great-grandchildren, Camden and Sophia; his sister, Mary
6Lensing; and his sister-in-law, Betty Rygiel; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Frank Joseph Kaucic and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Frank Kaucic as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
