| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Leonard J. "Ski" Strahanoski Sr. of | 4 | | Lockport, who passed away on March 11, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Strahanoski was born in Lockport to John | 6 | | and Rose (Drick) Strahanoski in 1928; he served in the United | 7 | | States Navy during World War II; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Strahanoski owned and operated Ski and | 9 | | Sons Builders, retiring in 2005; he previously worked for Frank | 10 | | Milne Developing and built many homes in the Kelvin Grove | 11 | | Subdivision; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Strahanoski served the City of Lockport | 13 | | for 50 years; he was 2nd Ward Alderman from 1965 to 1973 and | 14 | | was a part-time building and plumbing inspector for many years; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Strahanoski was a life member of Lockport | 17 | | VFW Post #5788; he was very generous and contributed to many | 18 | | charities; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Strahanoski was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his sister, Dorothy (Jim) Kinsley; and his |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Strahanoski is survived by his wife of 65 | 3 | | years, Dorothy (Eipers); his children, William (Debra), John | 4 | | (Julie), Kimberly (Lou) Ciuffini, Leonard Jr. (Renee), Beth | 5 | | (Doug) Hohisel, and Anthony (Mendi); 13 grandchildren; 10 | 6 | | great-grandchildren; his brothers, Donald (Norma) and Ronald; | 7 | | his sisters, Ceil (Les) Moore and Virginia (Robert) Smolich; | 8 | | and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Leonard J. "Ski" Strahanoski Sr., and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | him; and be it further
