SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marlon Allen "Al" Page, who passed away
4on February 13, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Al Page was born in Peoria to Cenora Page on
6February 4, 1975; he attended grade and middle schools in
7Peoria; he graduated from Lanphier High School in 1994; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Al Page loved mentoring youth and was employed as
9a youth counselor at Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center;
10he also served as an assistant basketball coach at Lanphier
11High School, where he spearheaded several fund raisers to
12offset expenses incurred by the boys basketball team; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Al Page loved his family, and he took his role as
14a father seriously; he had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed
15cooking for his family and friends; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Al Page was preceded in death by his sister,
17Cenora Page, and his grandmother, Rosie Lee Page, with whom he
18shared a special bond; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Al Page is survived by his mother, Cenora; his
20stepfather, James Beverly; his daughter, Mya Page; his sons,

1Wade Royster, Lucas Page, and Liam Sanders; his special
2extended family, the Knox family; and many other relatives and
3friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Marlon Allen "Al" Page and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Al Page as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
