SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marlon Allen "Al" Page, who passed away on February 13, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Al Page was born in Peoria to Cenora Page on February 4, 1975; he attended grade and middle schools in Peoria; he graduated from Lanphier High School in 1994; and

WHEREAS, Al Page loved mentoring youth and was employed as a youth counselor at Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center; he also served as an assistant basketball coach at Lanphier High School, where he spearheaded several fund raisers to offset expenses incurred by the boys basketball team; and

WHEREAS, Al Page loved his family, and he took his role as a father seriously; he had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Al Page was preceded in death by his sister, Cenora Page, and his grandmother, Rosie Lee Page, with whom he shared a special bond; and

WHEREAS, Al Page is survived by his mother, Cenora; his stepfather, James Beverly; his daughter, Mya Page; his sons, Wade Royster, Lucas Page, and Liam Sanders; his special extended family, the Knox family; and many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marlon Allen "Al" Page and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Al Page as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
