SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Linda Jean Carroll of Edwardsville, who passed away on February 4, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Linda Carroll was born in Highland to Melvin J. and Marie (Snodgrass) Helen on September 18, 1954; she married James Carroll at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Glen Carbon on June 12, 1981; and

WHEREAS, Linda Carroll retired from the Madison County Courthouse in Edwardsville, where she worked in data processing and as a tax clerk; she was also self employed as a real estate appraiser and worked part-time for Senator Evelyn Bowles; and

WHEREAS, Linda Carroll was a lifetime member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, where she was an active volunteer; she also donated her time to the GlenEd Pantry and the Glen Carbon Library; she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Linda Carroll was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Linda Carroll is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughters, Karla (John) McDole and Kelly (Tim) Voss; her son, Chase Carroll; her grandchildren, Johnny and Audrey McDole, and Owen, Henry, and Stella Voss; her brother, Melvin (Judy) Helen Jr.; her sisters, Jo Ann (Bob White) Helen, Patti (Dennis) Schaake, and Debbie Thompson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Linda Jean Carroll and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Carroll as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
