SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Oma Maxine Heepke of Bethalto, who passed
4away on January 14, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was born in Bethalto to Walter and
6Violet (Wiley) Neumann on January 2, 1928; she married
7Frederick "Beef" Heepke at the Eden United Church of Christ on
8October 1, 1949 and they resided on the family farm in
9Edwardsville; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was a member of the Eden Church in
11Edwardsville, the Eden Women's Guild, the Madison County Farm
12Bureau Women's Committee, and the Republican Women's
13Committee; she was a member of several card clubs, one of which
14met for over 65 years; she also enjoyed sewing and traveling;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was preceded in death by her parents;
17her husband, Frederick; her brother, Thomas Neumann; and her
18in-laws, Charles Piro, Harriet Neumann, and Paul and Carl
19Heepke; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Oma Heepke is survived by her sons, Charles F.
21(Marilyn) and Fred W. (Pamela) Heepke; her siblings, Walter

1"Bud" (LaVerne) Neumann, Donna Piro, Genevieve Heepke, and Ruth
2Heepke; her grandchildren, Aaron (Tanya) Heepke, Jeff (Marcy)
3Heepke, Dennis (Molly) Heepke, Amanda Heepke, Ross Heepke,
4Alexa (Luke) Lamoreaux, and Alex (Stephanie) Heepke; and her
5great-grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Logan, Lucy, and Henry
6Heepke and Landon Lamoreaux; and many nieces and nephews;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Oma Maxine Heepke, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Oma Heepke as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
