SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Emma M. Foy of McHenry, who passed away
4on December 30, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Emma Foy was born to Oscar and Marie (Groglott)
6Heinrichs on June 18, 1917; she married Robert Foy at St. Edith
7Church in Chicago on June 17, 1939; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Emma Foy was an active member of the Holy Apostle
9Catholic Church; she prayed the Rosary every day; she served as
10the past President of the Women's Club; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Emma Foy was an avid bridge player and
12participated in multiple clubs; she was a competitive Scrabble
13player; she was an excellent cook and baker, a wonderful
14seamstress, and she had the most beautiful garden, especially
15her roses; she enjoyed reading and watching the Chicago Cubs;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Emma Foy was preceded in death by her parents; her
18husband, Robert; her daughter, Sandra Binsack; and her
19siblings, Theresa Wall, Edward Heinrichs, and Carl Heinrichs;

1    WHEREAS, Emma Foy is survived by her children, Sharon
2(Paul) Crouch, Tom (Stephanie) Foy, Edward (Maureen) Foy,
3Cynthia (Gerald) Monroe, and Robert Boy; her 18 grandchildren;
4and her 24 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Emma M. Foy and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
8friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Emma Foy as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
