SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John J. Herdrich of Woodstock, who passed
4away on December 8, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Herdrich was born in McHenry County to Emil
6and Hermina (Schwartz) Herdrich; he married Lucille Poe in St.
7Mary's Church on August 25, 1951; and
 
8    WHEREAS, John Herdrich farmed in Bull Valley and McHenry
9for over 30 years; he retired from Lakeland Construction, where
10he was a valued employee; after retirement, he accepted a
11part-time position at R.A. Adams and worked in the shop; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Herdrich was active in the McHenry County
13Farm Bureau and The Catholic Order of Foresters Court 594; he
14worshiped at St. Mary Catholic Church and then joined St. John
15the Baptist Church; and
 
16    WHEREAS, John Herdrich was preceded in death by his
17parents; his four sisters, Pauline (the late Vince) Adams,
18Hilda (the late Robert) Mailfold, Marge Granath, and Gertrude;
19and his brother, Fred (the late Marie); and
 
20    WHEREAS, John Herdrich is survived by his wife of 66 years,

1Lucille; his children, Gregory (Linda) Herdrich, Thomas (Ok)
2Herdrich, Kathleen (Kevin) Carrico, and Deborah Bartmann; his
3grandchildren, Karissa (Tom) Nichols, Benjamin, Zachary
4(Lauren), Edward, Aubry, Morgan (Ryan) Cottrell, Austin,
5Kristine, Michael, and Joseph; his great-grandchildren,
6Jayannah, Madeline, Katarina, James, Chyla, Ahnika, Kade,
7Oliver, and Payton; his sister, Ann (Everett) Hunter; and his
8brothers-in-laws, John Granath, Morris (Patricia) Poe, and
9Allen (Shirlee) Hansen; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12John J. Herdrich and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of John Herdrich as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
