SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Christine Williams of Johnsburg, who
4passed away on November 15, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chris Williams was born in McMinnville, Tennessee
6to Alfred and Williana Matthews on October 25, 1924; she
7attended Howe High School in Indianapolis, Indiana for two
8years and then graduated from Anderson High School in Indiana;
9she furthered her education and graduated from the Indianapolis
10School of Business; she then attended the Normal School of
11Gymnastics in Indianapolis, where she met her husband, LarMarr;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Chris Williams was employed as an executive
14secretary for Budweiser Corporation in Chicago, Terra Cotta
15Industries in Crystal Lake, and Taylor Made Golf in McHenry;
16she worked as a secretary behind the information desk for
17Centegra in McHenry for 15 years; she also worked for the
18United States Post Office as a mail carrier for ten years; she
19loved teaching exercise classes and also started her own Red
20Hat Chapter in McHenry; she was the Sunnyside Village Clerk for
21ten years; and
 
22    WHEREAS, Chris Williams was involved in many activities at

1the First United Methodist Church in McHenry; she also loved
2attending water aerobics; she had a great love for family,
3friends, and life; she will be remembered for her caring and
4giving ways; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chris Williams is survived by her children,
6Steven, Michael (Patti), Marybeth (Bruce) Harbecke, Danny, and
7David; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, and Kolin Harbecke,
8Jamie (Brooke) Williams, and Steven Williams; her
9great-grandchildren, Fenix and Reylin Williams; and her many
10nieces and nephews; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Chris Williams was preceded in death by her
12husband, LarMarr; her parents; her brothers, Bill, Ray, and
13Walter Matthews; and her sister, Violet Dippel; therefore, be
14it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17Christine Williams and extend our sincere condolences to her
18family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
19further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Chris Williams as an expression of
22our deepest sympathy.
