SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert A. "Bob" Suding of Crystal Lake, who passed away on September 27, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Bob Suding was born in Indianapolis to Nickolas and Anna (Kohlman) Suding; he graduated from Cathedral High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University; he served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954 and married Jean Newman in June of 1954; and

WHEREAS, Bob Suding had a 60-year career as a licensed professional engineer in numerous industrial and government settings; he owned a successful company in the industry for 15 years; he completed his career at Intermatic in Spring Grove plus four years of consulting before his retirement in 2014; and

WHEREAS, Bob Suding married Jacque (Funderburk) Darcy in San Diego in April of 1989; he earned his Master of Business Arts from Northern Illinois University at the age of 68; he and Jacque lived in Sacramento for seven years before moving to DeKalb in 1995 and then to Crystal Lake in 2000; and

WHEREAS, Bob Suding was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean, and his son, Robert Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Bob Suding is survived by his wife, Jacque; his children, Carolann (Jeff) Stark, Lynn Amoni, and Kathleen Kittle; his stepson, Mark Pruett; his brothers, William Suding and Eugene (Dee) Suding; his grandchildren, Amber (Nick) Biggs, Steven Amoni, and Dixie Thompson; his great-granddaughters, Harper and Haven Biggs; his brother-in-law, Don (Sandy) Funderburk; his sister-in-law, Patricia Jindrich; his treasured nieces and nephews and their families, Trace (Teri) Funderburk, Kelli Charlton, Nick Suding, Marie Suding, Ruth Ellen (Tim) Elinski, Paul (Kelli) Suding, Patti Ciganic, Nancy (Matt) Ullrick, Jean Swearingen's family, and Steve and Dan (Laurie) Newman; and numerous cousins and friends of many years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert A. "Bob" Suding, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Suding as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
