SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Howard Irwin Moulton of Dundee, who passed away on October 24, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Howard Moulton was born in Elgin to J. Manley Moulton and Lillian Mary Swift Moulton on February 28, 1921; he graduated from Elgin High School in 1939; he then attended the Illinois Institute in Chicago for two years; he married Virginia Schaffter Moulton on August 1, 1946; and

WHEREAS, Howard Moulton was a veteran of the United States Army; he served in Africa and Italy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Howard Moulton was the Assistant Postmaster at the old Dundee Post Office and owned his own business before retiring; and

WHEREAS, Howard Moulton was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Moulton; and

WHEREAS, Howard Moulton is survived by his wife, Virginia; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Howard Irwin Moulton and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Howard Moulton as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
