HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Mount Pulaski Grade
4School seventh grade girls volleyball team, the Honeybears, on
5winning the 2018 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA)
6Class 2A State Championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Honeybears handily defeated Paris Crestwood
8in two sets by scores of 25-10 and 25-17 at the state
9championship match in Pawnee on March 10, 2018; and
 
10    WHEREAS, In the semifinal game, the Honeybears handed
11Ashland A-C Central their first loss of the season in two sets
12by a score of 25-13 and 25-8; and
 
13    WHEREAS, This is the second year in a row that the
14Honeybears have won the IESA Class 2A State Championship, and
15they finished the season with a record of 23 wins and two
16losses; and
 
17    WHEREAS, The Honeybears are led by Head Coach Donna Dulle,
18Assistant Coach Bethany Dulle, and Coach Cori Clark; the
19managers are Claire Bobell, Carter Clark, Josie Jones, Kendra
20Stewart, Cail Stone, Franklin Wade, and Karsyn Wilham; and

1    WHEREAS, They Honeybears are Mackenzi Chandler, Scout
2Tschantz, Je'Na Rentmeister, Ella Bobell, Chloe Stone, Kamrie
3Charron, Josey Kiper, Josie Wakeman, Alexis Wade, Abby Jones,
4Kate Beckers, Hailee Daigh, Grace Davis, Keyleigh Stewart, and
5Makenna Wilham; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
7HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
8congratulate the Honeybears of Mount Pulaski Grade School on
9winning the IESA 2018 Girls Volleyball Class 2A State
10Championship, and we admire their hard work and wish them many
11more years of success; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the Honeybears and their coach, Donna Dulle, as a
14symbol of our respect and esteem.
