HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Mount Pulaski Grade School seventh grade girls volleyball team, the Honeybears, on winning the 2018 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 2A State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Honeybears handily defeated Paris Crestwood in two sets by scores of 25-10 and 25-17 at the state championship match in Pawnee on March 10, 2018; and

WHEREAS, In the semifinal game, the Honeybears handed Ashland A-C Central their first loss of the season in two sets by a score of 25-13 and 25-8; and

WHEREAS, This is the second year in a row that the Honeybears have won the IESA Class 2A State Championship, and they finished the season with a record of 23 wins and two losses; and

WHEREAS, The Honeybears are led by Head Coach Donna Dulle, Assistant Coach Bethany Dulle, and Coach Cori Clark; the managers are Claire Bobell, Carter Clark, Josie Jones, Kendra Stewart, Cail Stone, Franklin Wade, and Karsyn Wilham; and

WHEREAS, They Honeybears are Mackenzi Chandler, Scout Tschantz, Je'Na Rentmeister, Ella Bobell, Chloe Stone, Kamrie Charron, Josey Kiper, Josie Wakeman, Alexis Wade, Abby Jones, Kate Beckers, Hailee Daigh, Grace Davis, Keyleigh Stewart, and Makenna Wilham; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Honeybears of Mount Pulaski Grade School on winning the IESA 2018 Girls Volleyball Class 2A State Championship, and we admire their hard work and wish them many more years of success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Honeybears and their coach, Donna Dulle, as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
