HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Joliet's St. Paul the Apostle's baseball team, the Giants, on winning the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) 1A title; and

WHEREAS, The Giants rolled to a 15-0 victory in four innings over Monmouth's Immaculate Conception School in the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A baseball championship game; and

WHEREAS, The Giants capped a 19-1 season by scoring 11 runs in the fourth inning; this is the school's fourth Class 1A title in the past five years; and

WHEREAS, The Giants are coached by Pat McGinnis, Mike Melone, and Brad Offerman; and

WHEREAS, The Giants are Zach Bebar, Noah Benton, Max Buza, Jackson Cullen, Finnegan Eleveld, Jake Gahn, Will Gimbel, Martin Guzman, Grant Hertzmann, Jarron Hinchcliffe, Brandon Kowall, Ryan Louthan, Cooper Ohlson, Graham Roesel, and Jimmy Sharp; and

WHEREAS, The Giants serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the St. Paul the Apostle baseball team, the Giants, on winning the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) 1A title, and we wish them many more successful seasons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the coaches and members of the St. Paul the Apostle baseball team.
