HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Shaye Harre for her
4successful career with the Southern Illinois University (SIU)
5Salukis softball team; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre was born in Nashville, Illinois, the
7daughter of Shelly and Steve Harre; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Before her softball career at SIU, Shaye Harre
9played softball for the Nashville Community High School
10Hornets; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre earned All-Conference and All-South
12honors her last three seasons at Nashville Community High
13School; she was named Metro-East Co-Player of the Year and
14First-Team All-State the last two years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre helped the Nashville Hornets win the
16Illinois Class 2A State Championship her last season with a
17final record of 35 and 4; she has a career batting average of
18.520 for her time with the Hornets; and
 
19    WHEREAS, After a successful softball career at Nashville
20Community High School, Shaye Harre went on to play for the

1Southern Illinois University Salukis, where she set multiple
2school records; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre finished her final season at SIU as
4the all-time RBI and doubles leader with 156 and 49,
5respectively; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre also finished in the top-10 in program
7history with a batting average of (.332), hits (188), runs
8scored (113), and home runs (31); and
 
9    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre set the single-season records for
10doubles (18) and walks (56) during her final season this year
11for the Salukis; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Shaye Harre was named MVP of the 2017 Missouri
13Valley Conference Softball Tournament; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
15HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16congratulate Shaye Harre for her outstanding achievements
17throughout her softball career as a Nashville Hornet and as a
18member of the Southern Illinois University Saluki softball
19team; and be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
