| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives would like to
recognize Altamont Masonic Lodge | | 4 | | #533 A.F. & A.M. on the occasion of its 150th anniversary; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 was duly formed in
| | 6 | | 1867 on the principles of "Faith, Hope, and Charity", and has | | 7 | | richly served the Altamont community ever since; and
| | 8 | | WHEREAS, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 is proud to be a part
| | 9 | | of the world's oldest fraternal organization, which is | | 10 | | comprised
of 64,000 members in
Illinois and 1.3 million | | 11 | | nationwide; and
| | 12 | | WHEREAS, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 serves its community
| | 13 | | to make good men better through the philosophy of promoting the
| | 14 | | pure principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth; and
| | 15 | | WHEREAS, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 continually engages
| | 16 | | in works supporting the community such as the Altamont High
| | 17 | | School Masonic Academic Bowl Team, the Illinois Masonic | | 18 | | Academic Bowl
Sectional Tournament, and organizing the | | 19 | | Memorial Day and Altamont Halloween parades; and
| | 20 | | WHEREAS, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 has donated time,

| | 1 | | money, and supplies to such worthy causes as the Altamont
| | 2 | | Backpack Program, the Illinois High School Rodeo Association | | 3 | | State Rodeo Finals, the Altamont High School Drama Club, and | | 4 | | the Lutheran
Care Center Kids Enrichment Center; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 has consistently | | 6 | | supported
the Child Identification Program (IL CHIP) | | 7 | | throughout the community; the
IL CHIP compiles information that | | 8 | | is
everything parents need to help the authorities find their
| | 9 | | lost child; they have and continue to perform this
program on | | 10 | | Altamont High School seniors before they depart on
their senior | | 11 | | trip; therefore, be it
| | 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | | 13 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
| | 14 | | recognize Altamont Lodge #533 A.F. & A.M. on the occasion of | | 15 | | its 150th anniversary; and be it further
| | 16 | | RESOLVED, That we extend our deepest appreciation to the | | 17 | | members of Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 for all their efforts in | | 18 | | their
community, and wish them each the best and all our | | 19 | | support in
moving forward with this grand tradition and applaud | | 20 | | their
purpose; and be it further
| | 21 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | | 22 | | presented to the Altamont Masonic Lodge #533.
