HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to recognize Hattie Lee
4Cain-Fulton of Chicago, on the occasion of her 95th birthday;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Hattie Lee Cain-Fulton was born in Leflore County,
7Mississippi, to Alfred Cain and Ida Mae Ellis on February 6,
81922; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Hattie Cain-Fulton is the mother of 14 children,
1030 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and five
11great-great-grandchildren; she is devoted to the duties and
12responsibilities of motherhood; she has always administered
13unwavering and unconditional love; even at tough times, she has
14never hesitated to sacrifice her own comfort for the sake of
15her family and others; she is known to be a great cook and is
16always willing to provide anyone with a meal; she is known to
17go to her own closet to find clothes and shoes for someone in
18need; she has always been a source of great support by lending
19a hand so all would know their worth, and she never turns
20anyone away, no matter who they are; she believes every heart
21needs a family and she cares for those whose hearts are longing
22for a family of their own; she is a mother, "big mama", auntie,
23sister, and friend to all she encounters; she is a sharp

1dresser and beautiful from head to toe; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Hattie Cain-Fulton worked at the University of
3Chicago and has volunteered with the National Sarcoidosis
4Society, the Garage Boys, and many other organizations; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Hattie Cain-Fulton celebrated 95 years of a
6lifetime of gratitude and love on February 6, 2017; her family
7is thankful for her caring nature and the sharing of her home,
8meals, clothing, and anything that was ever asked of her; she
9is still cooking and caring for others, making home visits, or
10hanging out with her daughters; she always maintains her
11impeccable appearance and high standards; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
14wish Hattie Lee Cain-Fulton a happy 95th birthday, and
15recognize her life of dedication to her family and her
16community, and wish her many more healthy and happy years; and
17be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to Hattie Cain-Fulton as an expression of our good
20wishes.
