HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Greg Fenton on the occasion of his retirement from the Division of Developmental Disabilities for the Department of Human Services; and

WHEREAS, Greg Fenton has served as the Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities for the Department of Human Services for the past three years; prior to becoming Director, he was Deputy Director of State Operated Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Greg Fenton has been a great friend to people with disabilities, their families, and other entities that strive to improve the lives of the developmentally disabled throughout Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Greg Fenton is the epitome of what an administrator should be, leading his department with intelligence, integrity, fairness, open communication, and deep respect for all individuals; he served as a forceful advocate for all individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as those who love and care for them; he operates with the belief that every voice has value and is worthy of being heard, and he has no doubt made a difference in the lives of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Greg Fenton on his retirement, and we look back on his lifetime of public service with deep respect and gratitude and hold him up as an example for all administrators; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Greg Fenton as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
