HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Josephine "Jo" Stellato
4on the occasion of her retirement after serving the people of
5Wheeling Township for 37 years; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jo Stellato is currently the Director of Finance
7and Administration for Wheeling Township; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jo Stellato is retiring after years of dedicated
9service; and
 
10    WHEREAS, During the time of her service, Jo Stellato has
11overseen the day to day operations of the township, its office
12and personnel; she has served as the liaison to the many social
13services agencies that are funded by the township; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jo Stellato's leadership over the years has been
15instrumental in initiating and monitoring the many important
16services that Wheeling Township provides to its citizens and
17has established Wheeling Township as one of the premier
18townships in the entire State of Illinois; and
 
19    WHEREAS, The Township Dental Services, a cooperative
20program with NCH HealthCare and other northwest suburban

1townships provides vitally needed dental care to many
2economically disadvantaged local residents, was envisioned by
3Jo Stellato and former Supervisor Michael Schroeder; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Jo Stellato initiated the partnership with the
5Arlington Heights American Legion starting the Seats for
6Sailors program that provided transportation for sailors at
7Great Lakes Naval Training Center to the Arlington Heights
8American Legion Post for a Thanksgiving meal and good
9fellowship; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Under Jo Stellato's guidance and supervision, the
11Township Food Pantry was enlarged and remodeled, enabling needy
12individuals to shop in the pantry and giving them the
13opportunity to select food items with the assistance of many
14local volunteers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jo Stellato has a son, a daughter, and a
16granddaughter, and she looks forward to spending more time with
17all of them; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20heartily congratulate Josephine "Jo" Stellato on her many years
21of dedicated and committed service to the people of Wheeling
22Township, and we wish her much success and happiness in her

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3presented to Jo Stellato as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
