SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
10 ILCS 5/7-10.4 new
10 ILCS 5/10-5.2 new

    Amends the Election Code. Provides that each candidate for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Comptroller, Treasurer, or Attorney General shall, at the time he or she files a statement of candidacy for that position, file a Statement of Nondisclosure Agreements. Provides that the Statement of Nondisclosure Agreements shall disclose whether or not the candidate is a party to, a signatory to, or a beneficiary of any nondisclosure agreement at the time of the filing.

1    AN ACT concerning elections.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Sections
57-10.4 and 10-5.2 as follows:
 
6    (10 ILCS 5/7-10.4 new)
7    Sec. 7-10.4. Statement of Nondisclosure Agreements. Each
8candidate for Statewide office shall, at the time he or she
9files a statement of candidacy for that position, file a
10Statement of Nondisclosure Agreements. The Statement of
11Nondisclosure Agreements shall disclose whether or not the
12candidate is a party to, a signatory to, or a beneficiary of
13any nondisclosure agreement at the time of the filing. As used
14in this Section, "candidate for Statewide office" means a
15candidate for: Governor; Lieutenant Governor; Secretary of
16State; Comptroller; Treasurer; or Attorney General.
