SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 3855/1-76 new

Amends the Illinois Power Agency Act. Provides that the Illinois Power Agency shall issue a report evaluating the implementation of the electric supply procurement requirements and processes set forth in the Act through the period ending May 31, 2018. Provides for repeal of the provisions on January 1, 2020. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Power Agency Act is amended by adding Section 1-76 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3855/1-76 new)

Sec. 1-76. Study of procurement requirements and processes. No later than June 30, 2019, the Agency shall issue a report evaluating the implementation of the electric supply procurement requirements and processes set forth in this Act through the period ending May 31, 2018.

This Section is repealed on January 1, 2020.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
