SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Victor M. Ordaz, who passed away on September 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ordaz was born on January 7, 1944 in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico; his parents were Joseph Salvador and Maura Cecilia (nee Sanchez) Ordaz; he and his family moved to Chillicothe in 1957; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ordaz served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ordaz retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 35 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ordaz was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Robert; and his sister, Rebecca; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ordaz is survived by his children, Tanya Ordaz, Noah S. Ordaz, and Leah C. Ordaz; his grandchildren, David Adams, Justin Adams, and Taryn Adams; his great-grandchildren, Maddux Fugitt and Ameillia R. Traver; his brothers, Salvador, Henry, and William; and his sisters, Irene, Sylvia, Ann, and Teresa; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Victor M. Ordaz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Victor Ordaz as an expression of our sympathy.
