SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Paul Rudzinski, who passed away on August 26, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rudzinski was born in Waukegan on May 27, 1926 to William J. Rudzinski and Klevopa Lingus; he attended Waukegan schools and served in the United States Army during World War II; he took part in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a Purple Heart; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rudzinski worked as a civil servant for 40 years as a barber at the Great Lakes Naval Base; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rudzinski was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Waukegan Council #731; he served as Grand Knight, 3rd Degree and was a member of the 4th degree; he was the Chairman of the tootsie roll drive for many years and was a past Chairman of the KC Wheelers; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rudzinski was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Victor James; his sisters, Jenny (Robert) Kochom and Barbara (Jack) Kilger; and his 2 beloved cats, Spencer and Rudzy; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rudzinski is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia; his daughter, Patricia; his sons, William, Gary (Cathy), and Kenneth (Esther); his granddaughter, Amber (Jeremy); his 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Susan Kaires (Gerald); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Paul Rudzinski, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Paul Rudzinski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
