SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Wilkin of Springfield, who passed away on August 31, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jacqueline Wilkin was born on September 15, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri; her parents were John A. and Margaret I. (nee Miller) Houston; she married William "Bill" J. Wilkin on January 9, 1960 in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Jacqueline Wilkin was employed by the Springfield School District in the Special Education Department for 18 years; and

WHEREAS, Jacqueline Wilkin loved watching hummingbirds, spending time outdoors, taking walks, listening to music, reading, and spending time with her friends and family; she was also proud to be an organ donor and gave one last gift in her parting by donating her eyes; and

WHEREAS, Jacqueline Wilkin was preceded in death by her husband, William, and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Jacqueline Wilkin is survived by her children, Patrick "Pat" J. (Debbie) Wilkin, Daniel "Danny" P. (Tee Parrish) Wilkin, and Tracy L. (Ted) Galassi; her grandchildren, Jesse (Jessica) Wilkin, Jamie (Adam) Baer, and Shay Hauck; her great-grandchildren, Hunter and Mason Wilkin and 2 more on the way; her sister, Judy (Herb) Sherman; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Wilkin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jacqueline Wilkin as an expression of our sympathy.
