SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Glen Duncan of Granite City, who passed away on August 29, 2015; and

WHEREAS, John Duncan was born on March 4, 1934 in Bee Branch, Arkansas; his parents were John and Lillie (nee Mahon) Duncan; he married June Dudley on November 7, 1992 in St. Ann, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, John Duncan was a dedicated Shriner and president of the Moolah Shrine and the YOMA Unit in St. Louis, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, John Duncan retired from Lou Fusz Dealership in Ellisville, Missouri as a parts manager after many years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, John Duncan enjoyed sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan; he also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, John Duncan was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Harold, Estel, Jerry, and Ralph Duncan; and

WHEREAS, John Duncan is survived by his devoted wife, June; 8 children, Allan (Mary Kay) Duncan, Pam (Kevin) Munro, Mark (Debbie) Becherer, Diane (John) Prazma, Michael (Deborah) Becherer, Tom Becherer, Janet (Mark) Price, and David (Karen) Becherer; a sister, Joyce Bowen; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of John Glen Duncan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Duncan as an expression of our sympathy.
