SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas E. Daxon of Moline, who passed away on August 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon was born on January 13, 1931 in Rock Island; his parents were Joe and Stella Simmons Daxon; he married Patricia A. Ogden on July 2, 1952 in Moline; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon retired from John Deere as the design supervisor in the tool-and-die department; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon was a member of the SME; he enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia; a son, Greg Daxon; a daughter, Jennifer (Darrell) DeVilder; his grandchildren, Emily DeVilder, Tyler DeVilder, and Austin DeVilder; his sisters, Patricia Rudd and Marilyn Oliver; and his brothers, Fred (Margie) Attwood and Kenny Daxon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas E. Daxon; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Daxon as an expression of our sympathy.
