SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vernal C. Houlihan; and

WHEREAS, Vernal Houlihan was the beloved wife of the late John J. Houlihan; the loving mother of the late James, Maureen (Lloyd) Betourney, Michael, Bill (Cindy), Terry, Patricia, Denis (Suki), and Brendan (Bae) Houlihan; the proud grandmother of Nicole, Matthew (Casey), Megan, Drue, Mariah (Kevin), John, Grant (Christina), Neil, Corinne Vernal, and Aisley; the cherished great-grandmother of Riley, James, Chase, Connor, and Morgan; the dear sister of Patrick (late Elsie) Devitt and late Mary Lou (late David) Berthold; the sister-in-law of the late Mary Rene, the late William (Jill), and the late Br. James Houlihan; and the kind aunt of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Vernal C. Houlihan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vernal Houlihan as an expression of our sympathy.
