SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael V. Fox of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on July 28, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Fox was born in Brooklyn, New York; his
6parents were Michael and Elizabeth (nee Rocks) Fox; he attended
7Fordham Preparatory School in New York before relocating to
8Chicago, where he met the love of his life, Rosemary (nee
9Ennis) Fox; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Fox served his country as a member of the
11United States Navy for 10 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Michael Fox earned his Bachelor of Arts in
13Accounting from Loyola University in Chicago; he received his
14CPA designation shortly after graduation and rose through the
15ranks of public accounting, private industry, and corporate
16finance; among the titles and positions he held in his long
17career were Executive Vice President of Allied Van Lines, Vice
18President of Amprop Investments, CEO of BarVender, Inc., and
19Managing General Partner of Spectrum Capital, a venture capital
20firm; he later retired to Arizona before moving back to the
21Chicago area; and

1    WHEREAS, Michael Fox was an avid golfer, first as a member
2of Ridge Country Club in Chicago and later as a member of the
3Early Birds Group in Sun City West, Arizona; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Michael Fox was preceded in death by his loving
5wife, Rosemary; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Michael Fox is survived by 6 children, Michael
7(Nancy) Fox, Daniel (Dawn) Fox, Judy (Dale) Musick, Karen
8(Mike) Kupcheck, Diane (Gary) Greenfield, and Richard Fox; 14
9grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael V. Fox; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Michael Fox as an expression of our
16sympathy.
