SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dolores T. Zdon of McHenry, who passed away on July 26, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon was born on March 25, 1930 in Chicago; her parents were Frank and Sophie (nee Jursek) Burda; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon retired from Illinois Bell Telephone after 35 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon was an avid fundraiser for the Telephone Pioneers of America; she was well known for her love of baking and her famous cheesecake; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Zdon, and 8 brothers and sisters; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon is survived by 2 sons, Walter (Michelle) Zdon and Richard (Destinee) Zdon; 3 grandchildren, Danielle, Mark, and Taylor; and 4 great-grandchildren, Quinn, Ewan, Rhys, and Mia; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Dolores T. Zdon; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dolores Zdon as an expression of our sympathy.
