SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Julian Irving Gollay of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Chicago, who passed away on July 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Julian Gollay served in the United States Air Force; he graduated from DePaul University and married Elaine Lee Jacobs on January 29, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Julian Gollay worked as an independent CPA and was a business owner; and

WHEREAS, Julian Gollay enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with his family and friends across the country; and

WHEREAS, Julian Gollay was the beloved husband of Elaine Gollay (nee Jacobs); the father of loving son, Frederick and adoring daughter, Jacqueline (Dick Ryan); the proud grandfather of Rachel and Evan; the brother of Sandra Goldberg (Greg Hines) and Linda (Richard) Sklar; and the brother-in-law of Ellen Meyers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Julian Irving Gollay, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Julian Gollay as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
