SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann Marie "Dolly" Mulvey of Crest Hill, who passed away on June 25, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Ann Mulvey was born on January 7, 1937 to Frank J. Sternisha and Anna A. Galajdik; she graduated Lockport Township High School in 1955; and

WHEREAS, Ann Mulvey began her employment at Merichka's Restaurant; she retired from Chaney-Monge School after 12 years of service; she also enjoyed being an Avon lady for many years; and

WHEREAS, Ann Mulvey was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church's Council of Catholic Women (CCW) and choir and was the 2011 CCW Woman of the Year; she was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Cantigny Post VFW #367, St. Genevieve Lodge #108, the Slovenian Union of America, the Joliet Rivals Ladies Auxiliary, the Crest Hill Homemakers, and the Chaney Monge Parent-Teachers Organization; she loved to sing in the St. Anne church choir and enjoyed Sunday picnics at St. Joe's Park; and

WHEREAS, Ann Mulvey was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert W. Mulvey; her parents; her 3 brothers, Joseph (Pearl) Fojut, Frank E. (Judy) Sternisha, and John (Linda) Sternisha; and her 2 sisters, Theresa (Norm) Wittkofski and Alice (Joseph) Valek; and

WHEREAS, Ann Mulvey was the loving mother of Beverly A. (Ralph) McCutcheon, Barbara A. Fenoglio, Robert M. Mulvey, and Maureen A. (Scott) Hasenjaeger; the cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, April (Ronnie) Baynard, Holly McCutcheon, Brad McCutcheon, Terry (Shelly) Fenoglio, Robert Fenoglio, Amber (Patrick) Cox, William Fenoglio, Michael Mulvey, and Brenna Mulvey; the proud great-grandmother of Damien Buchanan, Logan and Liam Fenoglio, Calean and Ryleigh Cox, and Madailein Baynard; she was survived by one sister, Pauline (Tom) Mihelich; 4 brothers, Michael (Marilyn) Sternisha, George (Mary Ann) Sternisha, Joseph Sternisha, and Walter (Sherril) Sternisha; one sister-in-law, Judith Wetherbee; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ann Marie "Dolly" Mulvey, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Mulvey as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
