SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of M. Sue Scheer, who passed away on July 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, M. Sue Scheer was born on July 9, 1948 in Alton; her parents were Robert and Iva (nee Brown) Sims; she married Mike Scheer on December 28, 1968 in Alton; and

WHEREAS, M. Sue Scheer was a teacher at Sacred Heart in Florissant, Missouri for the past 10 years; she previously taught at St. Mary's School, St. Bernard's School, and the Alton School District; and

WHEREAS, M. Sue Scheer was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; she was also a member of the Pro-Life Group of St. Mary's, the Society of Our Mother of Peace, the Evangelization Group, and the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign; and

WHEREAS, M. Sue Scheer is survived by her husband, Mike; 2 daughters and their spouses, Megan and Steve Konstantopoulos and Sarah Scheer and Tim Tipsword; 5 grandchildren, Michael Scheer, Morgan Tipsword, Molly Tipsword, Mathew Konstantopoulos, and James Konstantopoulos; 4 great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Luke, Scott, and Brooklynn; a brother and his spouse, Steven K. and Jacque Sims; and a brother-in-law, Robert Scheer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of M. Sue Scheer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of M. Sue Scheer as an expression of our sympathy.
