SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. "Bob" Karry, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on May 26, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Bob Karry was born in Watton, Michigan on February 8, 1931; and

WHEREAS, Bob Karry began his career as a welder for Waukegan Steel Sales; he was an excellent mechanic and was the former owner of Speedway Auto Parts in Park City and Karry Brothers Transmission Shops in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Bob Karry enjoyed racing stock cars; and

WHEREAS, Bob Karry was preceded in death by his son, Michael; his brothers, Russell and Ralph; and his sister, Betty Hetzel; and

WHEREAS, Bob Karry is survived by his wife, Sung Ja Song Karry; his 7 children, Susan Karry, Robert J. Karry, Jr., Vicky Karry, Lynn (Leo) Geoffrion, Nancy (John) Teixeira, Robin Karry, and Patricia Wood; his 9 grandchildren; and his 3 brothers, Guy (Barbara) Karry, Richard (Mary) Karry, and Ronald (Millie) Karry; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert J. "Bob" Karry, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Karry as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
