SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of G.W. Van Alstine of Carlinville, who passed away on May 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine was born on August 22, 1972 in Peoria; his parents were Wayne and Phyllis (nee Tockes) Van Alstine; he married Carrie Ann Long on January 1, 1994 in Jacksonville; and

WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine graduated from Illini Bluffs High School in Glasford in 1990; he subsequently earned his Donald Ducktorate degree from Disney University in 1991, his bachelor's degree from Illinois College in Jacksonville in 1994, and his master's degree from Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine was employed as the Southern Illinois Market Manager for WBGL Radio in Carlinville for 7 years; he also served as a professor of business for the University of Phoenix; and

WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine was preceded in death by his mother; and

WHEREAS, G.W. Van Alstine is survived by his wife, Carrie Van Alstine; 5 children, Jayden, Gavin, Devin, Lauren, and Lincoln Van Alstine; his father; a brother, Gene (Rexa) Frasco; and a niece; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of G.W. Van Alstine; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of G.W. Van Alstine as an expression of our sympathy.
