SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bobby" Wilkins, who passed away on April 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins born on August 14, 1970 and raised in North Chicago by Bob and Linda Wilkins; he attended Holy Family Grade School and graduated from North Chicago High School in 1988; and

WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins worked as a maintenance worker for the City of Lake Forest for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins was an active member of the Most Blessed Trinity Church, serving as Chairman of the Parish Council and singing on Sundays; he devoted much of his time to Most Blessed Trinity Academy, where his children attend school, as the Athletic Director, as a board member of the school board and parents association, and as a stagehand, set builder, and jack-of-all-trades for many of the school's drama performances; he was always giving his time and his talents and was happiest when singing in the choir, acting with his wife and kids, or competing in rib cook-offs; and

WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins was preceded in death by his grandparents and his nephew, Brennan Wilkins; and

WHEREAS, Bobby Wilkins is survived by his wife, Kristel (nee Hamalainen) Wilkins and his 3 children, Teagan, Aiden, and Bryant; his parents; his siblings, Bill (Amy) Wilkins, Kate (Mike) Behring, and Andy (Gail) Wilkins; his parents-in-law, Arne and Marilyn Hamalainen; his brother-in-law, Greg (Melanie) Hamalainen; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert "Bobby" Wilkins, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bobby Wilkins as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
