SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William T. "Ted" Babicki, who passed away on December 29, 2014; and

WHEREAS, William Babicki served in the United States Army during World War II in France and Germany; and

WHEREAS, William Babicki was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Joliet Council 382 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Cantigny Post 367; he was also a member of American Legion Harwood Post 5 and Joliet Moose Lodge 300; and

WHEREAS, William Babicki was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (nee Kolenc); his parents, Theodore and Ida (nee Kapala) Babicki; his brothers, Leonard, Stanley, Bernard (Stella), and Edward (Fran) Babicki; and his sister, Florence (Walter) Bump; and

WHEREAS, William Babicki is survived by his sons, Raymond and Thomas (Jeanette) Babicki; his grandson, Joel Ryan Babicki; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William T. "Ted" Babicki, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Babicki as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
