SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard F. "Boomer" Evers of Hebron, who passed away on December 27, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Richard Evers was born in Harvard on May 18, 1933 to Ernest Henry and Elizabeth (nee Schulz) Evers; he graduated from Alden-Hebron High School in 1951; he married Becky Berryman on July 22, 1961 in Woodstock; he served in the United States Army as a SP 3, stationed in France; and

WHEREAS, Richard Evers was a farmer on the family farm his entire life; he was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau and was a former director of the Genoa City Co-Op board; he was a director of the Woodstock Progressive Milk Producers and represented them as past director on the Illinois Milk Promotion Board and Midwest Dairy Association for many years; and

WHEREAS, Richard Evers was a lifetime member of the Freemasons for over 50 years; he enjoyed local history and telling stories; he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hebron; and

WHEREAS, Richard Evers was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Richard Evers is survived by his wife, Becky; his daughter, Diane Evers; his 3 sons, Tom Evers, John (Kristin) Evers, and Dan Evers; his twin grandsons, Matthew and Nathan Evers; his sister, Helen Evers; and his brother, Henry (Barbara) Evers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Richard F. "Boomer" Evers, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Evers as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
