SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard F. "Boomer" Evers of Hebron, who
4passed away on December 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Evers was born in Harvard on May 18, 1933
6to Ernest Henry and Elizabeth (nee Schulz) Evers; he graduated
7from Alden-Hebron High School in 1951; he married Becky
8Berryman on July 22, 1961 in Woodstock; he served in the United
9States Army as a SP 3, stationed in France; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Evers was a farmer on the family farm his
11entire life; he was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau
12and was a former director of the Genoa City Co-Op board; he was
13a director of the Woodstock Progressive Milk Producers and
14represented them as past director on the Illinois Milk
15Promotion Board and Midwest Dairy Association for many years;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Evers was a lifetime member of the
18Freemasons for over 50 years; he enjoyed local history and
19telling stories; he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
20in Hebron; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Richard Evers was preceded in death by his

1parents; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Richard Evers is survived by his wife, Becky; his
3daughter, Diane Evers; his 3 sons, Tom Evers, John (Kristin)
4Evers, and Dan Evers; his twin grandsons, Matthew and Nathan
5Evers; his sister, Helen Evers; and his brother, Henry
6(Barbara) Evers; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Richard F. "Boomer" Evers, and extend our sincere condolences
10to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Richard Evers as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
