SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David Brehm of Sharon, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 14, 2014; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm was born on March 31, 1948 in Marshfield, Wisconsin; his parents were Otto Alfred and Marjorie (nee Hamilton) Brehm; he married Barbara Emmer on September 16, 1978; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm served as a postal clerk at the Harvard Post Office for many years; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge and the Sportsman's Club; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan; he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and feeding and watching birds; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Foster; and

WHEREAS, David Brehm is survived by 3 children, Richard Brehm, Eric (Jamie) Brehm, and Carly (Mike) Matthews; the mother of his children, Barbara Brehm; 2 grandchildren, Ellie Brehm and Samuel Brehm; and 3 sisters, Ilene Phillips, Roberta Schneider, and Iris Bandt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of David Brehm; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Brehm as an expression of our sympathy.
