SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Chester J. Drozd of North Chicago, who passed away on March 10, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was born on November 17, 1924 in North Chicago; his parents were Jacob and Elizabeth Drozd; and

WHEREAS, Chester Drozd served in the United States Navy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was involved with the Casmir Pulaski Polish Legion of American Veterans, Polish National Alliance #1078, and the Polish Home Club; and

WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was the manager at the Polish Home Club in North Chicago for many years; and

WHEREAS, Chester Drozd is survived by several nieces and nephews; and

WHEREAS, Chester Drozd was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Helen Kozik, Eleanore Daujotas, and Marian Tomkovich; and 2 brothers, Joseph and John Drozd; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Chester J. Drozd; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chester Drozd as an expression of our sympathy.
